Sunroof Glass Repair and Replacement

Sunroofs — especially the large panoramic roofs common on modern SUVs and crossovers — can spontaneously crack from thermal stress or after a road-debris strike. We replace fixed and sliding sunroof glass, reseal panoramic moonroof panels and diagnose water leaks that show up as damp headliners after Wisconsin thunderstorms.

Sunroof Glass Repair / Replacement

Panoramic and standard sunroofs

Whether your vehicle has a small pop-up moonroof, a conventional sliding glass roof or a full-length panoramic glass roof, we can source the correct laminated or tempered panel. Panoramic sunroof glass is a specialty item that often ships directly from the manufacturer or an authorized distributor — we'll confirm availability, lead time and cost up front so you can decide whether to file an insurance claim or pay out of pocket.

Exploded and stress-cracked glass

Tempered sunroof panels can shatter into thousands of tiny pieces if the edge is chipped or if the glass experiences rapid temperature change — for example, when a hot sunroof over a parked car is hit by cold lake-effect rain from Lake Michigan. Laminated panoramic panels usually crack but stay in place. We remove the broken glass safely, clean the frame and track, and install the new panel with the correct seals and fasteners.

Leak diagnosis and drain service

Most sunroof leaks aren't actually leaks in the glass; they're clogged drain tubes routing water down the A- and C-pillars. Leaves, pollen and road grime collect in the drain channels and back water up into the headliner or onto the floor. If your headliner is wet after a storm, book a leak inspection first. We'll clear the drain tubes and only replace glass if it's actually damaged. Re-sealing the glass is also an option when the factory seal has dried out and shrunk.
